I've stated in previous theories just how challenging finding things on certain characters could be, considering that those characters have their stories pretty much fully revealed. In Dhalsim's case, however, even though he is a mysterious character with a lot of secrets to him, his secrets were revealed by someone who wasn't Capcom: prominent YouTuber … Continue reading The Truth About Dhalsim’s Divine “Blessings” →

Although I am a Street Fighter fanatic, I have enjoyed many other games over the years, from Pokemon to Metal Gear Solid. Every game I've played has a place in my own heart, from the good (Final Fantasy 6) to the bad (Shadow Madness). However, there is one game series I don't talk about very … Continue reading The Bizarre Connections Between Street Fighter and Twisted Metal →

Lucia Morgan was added, along with E. Honda and Poison, in the most recent update of Street Fighter V. While she is a somewhat obscure character, I've realized that Capcom has used her as a sort of keystone in which to expand their story. In my research of Lucia, I found a lot of interesting … Continue reading Lucia, Voodoo Queen →

Since Street Fighter V came out, many questions have been brought to the forefront regarding the mysteries the game holds in its lore. Is Bison still alive after having his body evaporated? What happened to Marz after her fall? Who or what is G, and what is his connection to Q? However, there is one … Continue reading Getepe and the Seven Sisters →

A few days before writing this, I went on Twitter and posted that there was a direct link between Edmund Honda and G. After going through videos of Honda's story mode and arcade mode endings, I realized the two are even closer than I had originally expected. Based on the evidence I have found, I … Continue reading The Truth About E. Honda’s Arcade Mode Ending? →

Most of the stuff I've written here I've already written about in past theories. However, as all of my previous theories are in separate posts, I've decided to condense all of my previous G theories into one handy guide for the purpose of convenience. I call this the Complete G Lore Primer, and within it … Continue reading The Complete G Lore Primer →

For this theory, I decided to look at all of the Street Fighter tarot cards individually, point out the meanings behind them, and speculate what each card is revealing about that character and (sometimes) the impact on the lore in general. I used an image gallery from EventHubs as a visual aid to draw my … Continue reading The Secrets of the Street Fighter Tarot Cards →

Ryu's past is shrouded in mystery. He was orphaned as a child, and nothing has been stated by Capcom officially about Ryu's parents. We know that Gouken raised him like a son, and Ryu looks up to Gouken as a father figure. There have been non-canon works, primarily the animated movie Street Fighter: Generations and … Continue reading The Truth About Ryu’s Parents →

Rashid is the Middle Eastern socialite who was searching for his friend after she was forced to work for Shadaloo to buid the Black Moons. After the Cinematic Story Mode was introduced, we found out that Rashid was a good-hearted person who would do anything for his friends, that he has a great relationship with … Continue reading The Mystery of Rashid’s Scouter →

When I began doing research on Hakan, I wasn't expecting to find anything with him being a character who only appeared in one game (not counting G's ending in Street Fighter V). He was revealed by Capcom to be a devoted family man and genuinely good guy who was something of a joke. His story … Continue reading Hakan – The Devastating Truth →
